1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded in each category. There will also be the following overall grand prizes:

• Best of Show [professional bracket]
• Best of Show [college bracket]
• Best of Show [high school bracket]
• Most Innovative

The monetary award for each grand prices is 25% of Artech year-end profits, with a minimum of $100.

The following descriptions are intended to help clarify which category a piece should be submitted under and should not be considered all-inclusive. If you are not sure which category to submit under, please contact info@rochesterartech.com.

• graphic design
  
  • pieces that pull together graphic elements, including typography, graphics, images, etc.
  • intended to deliver a message to an audience
  • for example, may be created with InDesign, Illustrator, etc
• photography
  
  • any pieces captures with a digital camera
  • photos of any origin that have some aspect of digital manipulation
• digital illustration
  
  • pieces created using digital techniques that might replace traditional media and methods
  • for example, may be created with programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter, Maya, etc
• collages/montages
  
  • pieces that are compilations of digital illustrations or photographs
• printmaking
  
  • pieces resulting from a digital printmaking process

Moving Images (to be displayed on LCDs)

• animation
• digital video

Interactive (experienced based; to be displayed on LCDs)
